High-Fashion Editorial — A Study in Styling

Genelia 1

Brief

An editorial story blending Indian textile heritage with the grammar of international fashion. Twelve frames built for both magazine print and digital cover stories.

Concept

Renaissance composition discipline meets Mumbai street palette. Every frame is staged authenticity — never costume, always character.

Production approach

Two-day studio plus one day on location. In-house makeup and styling, retouching focused on colour separation rather than skin softening.

Challenges & solutions

Every production pushes back somewhere — permits, monsoon windows, talent movement, gear in transit. We keep alternate shot lists, redundant audio paths and backup crew on-call so the schedule absorbs shocks without killing the idea.

Results & impact

12-page editorial feature plus a digital cover. Re-licensed twice within six months for separate brand campaigns.

“Editorial that reads as image-first and never apologises for where it comes from.”
